Ancestors of the Stowes is a site detailing the Stowe and inter-related families

The site includes a forum for information exchange relating to the family tree and general Genealogy resources.

For those of you who would prefer to see the Tree in your own software, the latest Gedcom (.ged) file can be downloaded here.

I have had to remove the Guest Book sadly due to the inordinate amount of spam. I liked the idea that you could leave comments without first having to sign up to another website, providing more personal details than are really necessary. Unfortunately that also leaves you open to random rubbish so it's been removed for a short while.

The forum has also been migrated to newer software, this too had suffered badly with spam and was part of the reason I moved to a more secure bulletin board by SMF.

The family tree research for the infomation presented on the site was carried out by David Stowe and Mandy Boughen.

The family tree's are in the process of being updated and redesigned.

The current site (Tree 1) created with Legacy 6.0 provides a fairly basic but informative layout

There are a few new options in the pipeline and I haven't decided which to settle for, the alternate options can be found below.

Tree 2 was created on my Mac with a simple layout in a list style.

Tree 3 Retrospect-GDS is driven by PHP and MySQL, it's provided freely by Infused Solutions

Tree 4 TNG is again driven by PHP and MySQL, it's not free but the price is very reasonable and can be purchased here

They are using the default designs at the moment but all the content is up to date. Please feel free to try them out and explore at will; if you have any comments, constructive criticism or information you wish to share please feel free to contact me.
